Bambusa oldhamii

A very hardy and fast growing bamboo. Oldhamii is a reliable grower, forming a dense upright clump. This variety makes a privacy screen or windbreak. Very cold tolerant, grows well in southern parts of Australia and the tropics.

Grown commercially for timber poles and edible shoots.

Oldhamii can also make a ornamental feature in any garden with its lush foliage and waxy/green poles.
